Bioeconomy and its implications for agribusiness will be discussed during a round table at the 6th National Congress of Agribusiness Women – CNMA, which takes place between October 25th and 27th, from 9am to 13:30pm, in Digital Experience.

Bioeconomy is the field of knowledge that offers sustainable solutions for a more harmonious relationship between economic progress and the environment. In view of this, the debates will address, among other issues, how rural landowners, business owners and entrepreneurs can organize themselves financially to advance towards sustainable management, in addition to discussing sustainability from an economic point of view, sustainable production systems, the role of banks as agents of change and available support such as credits and green assets.

The panel will be moderated by the Economics commentator and presenter on Jovem Pan and TV Gazeta, Denise Campos de Toledo, who will have as guests the executive president of the Alfa Financial Conglomerate, Fabio Amorosino; CEO of Banco XP, José Berenguer; president of the Cooperativa Sicredi Vale do Piquiri Abcd PR/SP, Jaime Basso; Chief Commercial Officer of CME Group, Julie Winkler; director of Corporate Sustainability at Bradesco, Marcelo Pasquini and director of Agribusiness at Itaú BBA, Pedro Fernandes.

For Fabio Amorosino, Brazil is the country with the most representative biodiversity in the world, which is why debate between different leaders in the production chain is essential to study ways to promote sustainable agribusiness. “I believe that the financial area can be an important driver of practices in this sense. At Alfa, for example, we also work through initiatives such as the 'Coalizão Brasil Clima, Florestas e Agricultura', a multisectoral movement that aims to promote concrete actions to face the challenges of climate change and the construction of a new economy: sustainable and low carbon”, details.

Chief Commercial Officer of CME Group, Julie Winkler explains that the transition to zero greenhouse gas emissions will require a series of creative solutions, including financial innovations. “As a leader at the CME Group (Chicago Stock Exchange), we are committed to developing products and services that help the global market better manage climate risks, while helping to support the shift to a more sustainable economy.”
