MAPA awards recognize companies that develop ethical, sustainability, integrity and responsibility practices
Until the end of this week, technicians from the National Supply Company (Conab) will carry out a survey of harvest data in several Brazilian states. The numbers will support the analyzes that will be published in the 6th Survey of the 2021/22 Grain Harvest, which will be released by the Company, nationwide, on March 10th.
The collection of information is carried out alternately virtually (via electronic contact or telephone) or during field visits. This February, consultations are remote in the states of Acre, Alagoas, Amapá, Amazonas, Bahia, Espírito Santo, Goiás, Mato Grosso, Mato Grosso do Sul, Minas Gerais, Pará, Paraíba, Paraná, Piauí, Rio de Janeiro , Rio Grande do Norte, Rondônia, in addition to Roraima.
In the case of Pernambuco, the work is carried out in the field, with attention focused on estimating the average productivity of crops such as corn, rice and beans. In the state, this survey is carried out in the municipalities that make up the so-called Sertão of Pernambuco.
São Paulo also has technicians distributed on site with a focus on soybean and corn crops. The trips are concentrated in the municipalities of the state's Grain Belt: Itapetininga, Itaí, Avaré, Itapeva, Itaberá, Itararé and others in the region.
There are also field visits in Ceará, Distrito Federal, Maranhão, Rio Grande do Sul, Santa Catarina, Sergipe and Tocantins.
Among the data analyzed in the various states, variables such as: planted area, average productivity prospects, crop development, predominant stage of the crop, influence of climatic conditions, control of possible pests and diseases, evolution of harvesting and planting, as well as as marketing aspects.
