Conab releases the dates for surveying agricultural harvests and the horticultural market in 2024

The schedule for publishing the surveys to be carried out by the National Supply Company (Conab) in 2024 is now available. Published this Tuesday (26), the calendar presents the dates for the announcements of harvests of grains, coffee, sugarcane, of sugar and also data on the marketing of vegetables at Supply Centers (Ceasas).

For 2024, the Company's first event is scheduled for January 10th, when the Bulletin of the 4th Survey of the 2023/24 Grain Harvest will be released. The date of this announcement was recently updated. The announcements of grain harvests provide an overview of the beginning of the production cycle, starting in October of each year. In total there are 12 monthly surveys, with the last one ending the 2023/24 harvest year on September 12th. The first announcement for the next cycle, 2024/25, is scheduled for October.

Still in January, on the 18th, the 1st Survey of the 2024 Coffee Harvest will be released. In the case of coffee, a series of four announcements will be made, containing production research in the main producing regions of the country. Subsequent studies take place in May (23) and September (19) 2024, and January 21, 2025.

On January 22, the Company presents data from the 1st bulletin of 2024 on the commercialization of horticultural products in the main Ceasas in Brazil. The other publications occur monthly and provide information on the prices charged for the most sold fruits and vegetables in the wholesale markets analyzed by the Company. The work is part of the Brazilian Horticulture Market Modernization Program (Prohort), whose operation is carried out by Conab.

Cana – for sugar cane, the 4th and final survey that ends the 2023/24 harvest will be carried out on April 18th. The other releases of the analyzes, referring to the 2024/25 harvest year, are scheduled for April (25), August (22) and November (28).

other products – in addition to the dates of the aforementioned announcements, the Company's calendar also presents the publication schedule of the Agricultural Monitoring Bulletin (BMA). The document is a partnership with the National Institute of Meteorology (Inmet) and the Global Agriculture Monitoring Group (Glam). The Bulletin was planned, among the services offered by Conab, to serve society with information on agrometeorological conditions and the interpretation of crop behavior in satellite images and in the field. The first edition of 2023 will be published on January 25th.
