Conab holds freight auction to contract transportation of corn grains this Friday

The National Supply Company (Conab) will hold an auction to hire a transport service for the removal of 24,98 thousand tons of corn grains, linked to public stocks. The auction will take place this Friday (15), at 9:30 am. The objective of the operation is to supply Conab warehouses that serve the Over-the-Counter Sales Program (ProVB), which offers corn to local livestock farmers.

Public stocks are located at the Company's storage unit in Uberlândia/MG and must be transported to the municipalities of Itaberaba (415,9t), Ribeira do Pombal (173,0t) and Irecê (671,3t), Bahia; Icó (565,4t), Russas (1.200t) and Maracanaú (3.000t), Ceará; Cachoeiro do Itapemirim (1.295t) and Colatina (1.561,5t), Espírito Santo; Goiânia, Goiás (41t); São Luís (432t), Maranhão; Ananindeua (27,5t), Pará; Montes Claros (600t), Minas Gerais; Bernardino de Campos (200t), São Paulo; Campina Grande (1.634,5t), João Pessoa (432t), Patos (395,1t) and Monteiro (565,4t), Paraíba; Maceió (778,9t), Alagoas; Arcoverde (822,9t) and Recife (1.228,3t), Pernambuco; Campo Maior (345t), Floriano (173t), Oeiras (129t), Parnaíba (1.295t) and Teresina (1.601,2t), Piauí; Natal (800t), Umarizal (400t), Açú (300t), Caicó (400t), Rio Grande do Norte; Boa Vista (1.000t), Roraima; Erechim (2.500t), Rio Grande do Sul.

To participate in the auction, interested parties must be registered with the National Land Transport Agency (ANTT) as a road freight transporter or Multimodal Transport Operator, as long as they are registered in the National Registry of Road Cargo Transporters – RNTRC. It is also necessary to be duly registered in the National Rural Producers Registration System (Sican).
