COP27 begins with great challenges
Efforts remain insufficient to limit global temperature rise by the end of the century
The technical teams of the National Supply Company (Conab) begin this Monday (07/11), and continue until November 26th, data research to compose the 4th Survey of the 2022 Coffee Harvest and the 1st Survey of Coffee Harvest 2023. A total of nine producing states participate: Minas Gerais, Espírito Santo, São Paulo, Bahia, Rondônia, Paraná, Rio de Janeiro, Goiás and Mato Grosso. For the 1st Survey of 2023, Conab will once again monitor the Amazonas coffee harvest.
The research includes visits to rural properties, cooperatives and other partner entities. Information will be collected regarding the total coffee production for the 2022 harvest, as well as its impact on the market, and the forecast for the 2023 harvest, considering climatic variables, management, the biennial nature of the crop, rural credit conditions and of market perspectives.
The consolidated data will appear in the bulletin of the 4th Survey of the 2022 Coffee Harvest, which will be published on December 15th on the Company's website, and in the bulletin of the 1st Survey of the 2023 Coffee Harvest, to be published on January 19th. Currently, coffee production is estimated at 50,38 million bags, as published by Conab in 3rd survey of 2022, released on September 20th.
