The National Supply Company (Conab) will be in the field to collect data on the sugarcane harvest in the states of Tocantins, Rio Grande do Norte, Paraíba, Pernambuco, Alagoas, Sergipe, Goiás, Espírito Santo, Rio de Janeiro, Maranhão, São Paulo, Bahia, Minas Gerais, Paraná and Mato Grosso between the 11th and 23rd of July.
The numbers calculated will serve as the basis for the 2nd Survey of the 2022/2023 Harvest, scheduled for August 19th.
The data analyzed in the states refers to variables such as: planted area, average productivity perspectives, influence of climatic conditions, harvesting and planting evolution, destination of crushed sugarcane, ethanol and sugar production, as well as marketing aspects.
According to the most recent data, released in the 1st survey of the 2022/23 Harvest, total sugarcane production in the country is estimated at 596,06 million tons. Among the largest sugar and alcohol producing states in Brazil are São Paulo (301,38 million tons), Goiás (74,54 million tons) and Minas Gerais (67,03 million tons).
