This Friday (27), the National Supply Company (Conab) begins preparations for the research of private coffee stocks, with the sending of access passwords to producers, industries and product storers across the country. Receipt allows entry into the Private Stock Research System (Sipesp), which will be open for filling in information from April 1st until the 26th of the same month.

For those who participated in previous editions, it is worth highlighting that Sipesp has been updated, with some improvements and simplifications ranging from access to filling in data and the possibility of extracting stocks already entered into the system.

The survey must be completed by all grain storers, including industries. Those who are not registered with Sipesp or have not received access passwords can download the form Stock Survey Bulletin – Coffee – 2020, available on the Company's website. With the information filled in, the document must be sent to the email contato-privado@conab.gov.br, respecting the deadline.

The information must be based on stocks as of March 31, 2020, without including the product from the new harvest. Volumes are reported separately, by storage unit, registered or not, and by type (arabica or conilon). Even those who did not have stocks on the reference date must carry out the procedure and enter the zero stock information into the system.

Carried out annually by Conab, the survey of private coffee stocks contributes to government planning and the formulation of public policies to promote agricultural production and productivity and guarantee regular food supply. The survey will be carried out in all regions of the country and will show the final stock of product from the 2019 harvest.
