On Monday (20), the National Supply Company (Conab) began field research to monitor grain crops in the country. The work continues until the 25th, and the data collected will help in the composition of the 10th Grain Harvest Survey 2021/2022, with information from the other states.
In this survey, the Company's team will cover Tocantins, Maranhão, Piauí, Paraíba, Pernambuco, Sergipe, Goiás, Distrito Federal, Minas Gerais and Santa Catarina.
In the states of Pará, Roraima, Rondônia, Acre, Amazonas, Rio Grande do Norte, Bahia, Alagoas, Mato Grosso, Mato Grosso do Sul, São Paulo, Paraná and Rio Grande do Sul, remote monitoring will be carried out.
During the work, the Company will monitor variables such as area, productivity, crop development and harvest for summer and even winter crops.
Data collection is carried out with several partner institutions, including municipal class entities (unions), small and large producers, agricultural cooperatives, input resellers and rural assistance and planning companies.
According to ninth estimate of the 2021/22 grain harvest, released on June 8 by the state-owned company, grain production in the country was forecast at a total of 271,3 million tons, which represents 6,2% or 15,8 million tons higher than that obtained in the 2020 harvest/ 21.
The results of the research for the 10th Grain Harvest Survey will be published on the Company's website, on July 7th, with information from all Brazilian states.
