Compass Minerals recognized with the + Integrity Seal, from MAPA

Compass Minerals was recognized, for the third consecutive year, with the Seal + Integrity from the Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock and Supply (MAPA). Aimed at agribusiness companies and cooperatives, the award aims to recognize initiatives in the national market that promote honest and ethical relationships among themselves and with the public sector; and mitigate risks of fraud and corruption in relations between the public and private sectors linked to agribusiness. This is the third edition of the seal award and 19 companies in the agricultural sector were awarded.

"To receive the Seal, the company must demonstrate the practice of requirements such as a compliance program; code of ethics and conduct, effective reporting channels, actions focused on social responsibility and environmental sustainability and promotion of training to improve organizational culture. It is also necessary to be up to date with labor obligations and have good agricultural practices. The award is public recognition from the Brazilian government that Compass Minerals is committed to ethical conduct, integrity and practices that demonstrate social, environmental responsibility and transparency with which we conduct our business. It also expresses this perception towards our customers, suppliers, partners, government and our collaborators", celebrates Gustavo Vasques, president of Compass Minerals América do Sul. "The market is raising standards in terms of good compliance practices and our company is at the forefront of this", which, for us, is a source of great pride", adds the president, who received the award from minister Teresa Cristina, at the awards event promoted by MAPA, in the auditorium from Apex-Brasil, in Brasília (DF), accompanied by the Legal & Compliance manager of Compass Minerals Carlos Gustavo Barbosa Villar Correa.
