According to the latest analysis of the Edenred Ticket Log Price Index (IPTL), a survey that consolidates the price behavior of transactions at gas stations, providing an accurate average, the average prices of both types of diesel ended 2024 on the rise in Brazil, with emphasis on the common type, which registered an accumulated increase of 3,85% throughout the year. The S-10 type had an increase of 2,79% in the same period. The fuels ended the year with average prices of R$6,20 and R$6,27, respectively.
“Diesel became more expensive throughout the year, driven not only by price adjustments, but also by the recent appreciation of the dollar against the real, intensified in the last weeks of 2024. Furthermore, factors such as the logistics structure also play an important role in the final price found by the consumer at the gas stations”, says Douglas Pina, General Director of Mobility at Edenred Brasil.
