Domestic wheat market remains paralyzed
In Argentina, an increase of 18,18% in the planted area is expected
Colombo has focused its attention on designing Avanti – a multi-platform machine for grain harvesting. With the philosophy of “a single machine, multiple solutions”, the equipment has a MultiFaster system, which incorporates agility and interchangeability of platform coupling for different types of crops. Successful in harvesting peanuts, the machine underwent a process of redesign and implementation of new technologies. With this new version, the product delivers more efficiency and availability in grain harvesting. Once the product matures, it begins to harvest corn in the United States, expanding its operating capacity and fully complying with the purpose for which it was developed.
The national and international markets have received the news with great enthusiasm, as it delivers the quality and integrity of the grains – necessary requirements for the seed production segment. With this, the brand, which turns 50 years old in 2023, meets projections that indicate that Brazilian grain production should reach 310,9 million tons in this 2022/23 harvest. The index is an estimate by the National Supply Company (Conab), which exceeds that of the 2021/22 cycle by 14,5% and represents a new historical record. Also according to the Brazilian Institute of Geography and Statistics (IBGE), this year's harvest will total 296,2 million tons, an increase of 12,6% compared to 2022.
On the market since 2019, the Avanti C 360 went through some stages in its development to evolve the project. Initially, the equipment went through testing phases on peanut, corn and soybean crops – more recently, bean crops were also explored. In these stages, different types of collection and harvesting platforms were tested, as well as various components so that it was possible to improve and extract the best performance from the machine with the best operating quality.
Currently, it can extract 3 and/or 4 rows of peanuts, for example, that is, it has a capacity of approximately 185 bags (13.210 liters) and 143 bags of soybeans. For peanut cultivation, it has a pantographic platform, which allows for better monitoring of soil irregularities and provides a lower loss rate. Its grain unloading belt is made of rubber canvas and maintains the high quality of the grains, with easy conversion for harvesting other crops. The axial threshing system promotes grain quality, preservation and integrity, as well as high efficiency in its cleaning system, through a lower level of grain impurities in the grain deposit, with a 4x4 operation system (with integrated 6x4 option).
Regarding the operating system, all the technology was created and developed by Colombo itself, with two displays, one for accessing machine and harvesting information – in which it is possible to configure rotations, speed and check some extremely important data during operation and another directed to access engine information.
Equipped with a rotor that provides grain threshing and separation, ensuring the quality and integrity of the grains.
It has 4x4 and 4x2 transmission, using Class front transmission and TDS at the rear; John Deere 400 hp TIER 4 engine; Class cabin; monitoring system and all onboard technology developed by Colombo. For Brazil, it has the same configurations, except for the engine, which is a 400 hp Cummins.
As a differentiator, the harvester has the greatest autonomy in its category; adjustable brushes for easy maintenance; high cleaning efficiency and superior grain quality; axial track cylinder, separation screens and suction turbine; largest capacity in its category: stores 2.300 liters of loose coffee; directional wheels (steering), with path correction and greater agility in headland maneuvers; using only two hydraulic controls on your tractor, and it is a compact machine, easy to adjust and with low maintenance costs.
