Cold and frost return to Rio Grande do Sul in the coming days

Minimum temperatures are expected to reach 5ºC in some regions of the State

In the coming days, cold weather with frost will return to Rio Grande do Sul. This is according to the Integrated Agrometeorological Bulletin 29/2025, published by the Secretariat of Agriculture, Livestock, Sustainable Production and Irrigation (Seapi), in partnership with Emater/RS and Irga.

Na Friday (18/7), the movement of a cold front will maintain cloudiness with rain showers in most regions and the possibility of heavy rain in isolated areas, mainly in the Central, Coastal and South Zones.

No Saturday (19/7) e Sunday (20/7), The arrival of a dry, cold air mass will ensure stable weather and cause temperatures to drop, with minimums below 5°C and frost forming at dawn in several regions.

Between the Monday (21/7) e Wednesday (23/7), the weather will remain dry, with mild temperatures and fog formation at dawn in most regions.

Expected rainfall totals for the period are low, expected to range between 5 and 10 mm in most regions. In the Central, Serra do Sudeste, and Extremo Sul regions, accumulated amounts are expected to range between 20 and 30 mm, and may reach 50 mm in some locations.
