The city of Guaxupé (MG) will be the meeting point for more than 33 thousand people - coffee producing families from the south of Minas Gerais and the middle of the state of São Paulo - during FEMAGRI - Agricultural Machinery, Implements and Inputs Fair organized by the coffee growers’ cooperative Cooxupé. The event takes place from February 12th to 14th with the aim of presenting the latest knowledge for the coffee industry.

In 2020, FEMAGRI's theme is "Cooperativism, bringing technology, management and trust to coffee farming", presenting central pillars to coffee growers such as various options in machinery and implements to increase productivity and improve management techniques, while reducing costs; the search for improving the quality of the coffee drink; and mainly, promoting new learning scenarios for Cooxupé members.

In the Fazendinha space, for example, producers find educational activities; results of research carried out by institutions and universities; news in the area of sustainability; and content focused on property management, such as changes in fertilizer logistics, optimal management of organic waste and weeds, correct storage of pesticides, among other points. The Cooxupé Geoprocessing team will also be present in the space, presenting to the producer the climate behavior in recent months and how the climate can influence the decision-making of coffee growing families.

FEMAGRI takes place in a total area of 107 thousand m², with 37 thousand m² of covered area. There are 164 booths and 125 exhibitors. In 2019, the Fair recorded R﹩ 135 million in budget volume and Cooxupé expects this number to be repeated this year.

"FEMAGRI brings to the fair the meaning of the cooperative movement and, mainly, offers Cooxupé members the opportunity to strengthen the relationship between themselves and with the cooperative and suppliers. It is a space for a lot of synergy, exchange of ideas and knowledge, trust and familiarity. Today, FEMAGRI is a national reference when we talk about coffee fairs", defines the president of Cooxupé, Carlos Augusto de Melo Rodrigues.

The official opening of FEMAGRI will be on 12/02, at 10am, in front of the Cooxupé board of directors stand. The address is Av. Vereador Nelson Elias, 1300b.
