The balance of the 9th edition of the Cerrado Fair shows that coffee producers, members of Cooxupé, are more attentive to coffee exchange relationships, finding greater security in their negotiations in this modality.

“More than ever, producers have shown greater attention to coffee exchange. Because, in 2024, this type of operation surpassed the results obtained in relation to other editions of the Feira do Cerrado. The coffee grower understood that the moment was good and propitious, leading him to opt for this negotiation. This means that the member is attentive and does not want to be exposed to coffee variations, avoiding surprises. Furthermore, it manages to reduce its costs with inputs and machinery”, explains the Cooxupé Cooperative Development Superintendent, José Eduardo Santos Júnior.

In addition to seeking security in negotiations, the producer also highlighted his desire to increase his productivity with the acquisition of technologies and, mainly, to gain scale in sustainability in his productions. “The cooperative member is committed to sustainable practices and the partial results of the Cerrado Fair demonstrate this commitment”, reinforces Santos Júnior.

With the theme “Cooperativism: building the sustainable future of generations”, the 9th edition of the Feira do Cerrado welcomed more than 4,5 coffee producers and visitors. Partial numbers show that more than 4 thousand quotes were requested during the event.

“Without a doubt, the Cerrado Fair is very important, as it brings knowledge, information, as well as the opportunity to do good business. All of this is very interesting for the member and for all coffee growers in the region”, considers the member of Campos Altos (MG), Gabriel dos Reis.

The Monte Carmelo member, José Antônio Padial Posso, was surprised by the technology platform on display. “The equipment is naturally becoming more modern and complete, so we have to pay attention to these updates”, he assesses.
