Cocamar opens fertilizer industry in Paranavaí

In the second half of 2024, the industry under the Viridian brand expects an investment of R$ 10,7 million to start the production of biological fertilizers

Cocamar inaugurated today, in Paranavaí, a municipality in the northwest region of Paraná, its Viridian brand fertilizer industry. Since 2020, the label has been operating with the production of foliar products and adjuvants in its industrial park, in Maringá. 

Upon being transferred to that city, where it occupies a plot of 64 thousand square meters with almost 10 thousand square meters of built area next to the BR-376 highway, the structure underwent expansions to also begin the production of solid fertilizers.

With a commercial shift capacity of 3 million liters and 630 tons of solids per year, the industry received investments for adaptations and acquisitions of new equipment in the order of R$6,3 million, informed industrial supervisor Paulo Liberato.

Accountability

Cocamar took the opportunity of the accountability meeting (pre-assembly) with the participation of members from Paranavaí and Nova Esperança, on site, to inaugurate the industry which, in the second half of 2024, will add another item to its portfolio : the production of biological fertilizers. To this end, the cooperative planned to make investments of around R$10,7 million for the renovation and adaptation of facilities and the purchase of equipment.
