Important names in Brazilian agribusiness have already been confirmed to debate the opportunities and challenges faced by women who work in the sector, at the 7th edition of the CNMA - National Congress of Women in Agribusiness, which, this year, has as its theme “Coordination of production chains in the agribusiness, the decisive decade!”

The event, which will be held on October 26th and 27th at the Transamerica Expo Center, in São Paulo (SP), follows the mission of being an open space for discussions that encourage women to make a difference in agriculture, accelerating transformations through which the world passes.

“CNMA has the strength of women in its DNA, which is why we seek, through our programming, to offer participants a democratic and open environment so that they can exchange experiences and express the difficulties they face in their day-to-day activities”, highlights the event's Show Manager, Carolina Gama.

This year, the agenda includes topics such as Vegetable Chain Governance, which will be addressed by the Executive President of Abitrigo, Rubens Barbosa and the Executive Director of Abramilho, Glauber Silveira; Management and Succession in Production Chains, which will be addressed by Alessandra Nishimura, from the Jacto Holding Board, the Marketing Director at FMC, Daniela Tavares and the Rural Head at Rabobank Pollyana Saraiva; Innovations and ESG, highlighted by Elanco's General Director, Fernanda Hoe, JBS's Sustainability Director, Liege Vergili Correia and UPL's Carbon Manager, Rogério Melo.

The first day of the event will also feature the panels “The decisive era for Brazil”, showing how the country became the greatest agri-food, agro-environmental and agro-energy power of this decade, in addition to the round table “Energy Vision: without energy it is not possible food”, which will highlight how energy self-sufficiency is vital for food production.

The lecture “How urban agriculture is a trend for the future”, will be given by the CEO of the Organization Cities Without Hunger, Hans Dieter Temp.

“Our panels seek to offer information about the national and global market, highlighting business opportunities with global clients, in addition to encouraging sector unity and giving a voice to the protagonists of Brazilian agribusiness”, says Carolina.

When I Heard the Voice Earth

The CNMA will also be the stage for the launch of the documentary series “When I Heard the Voice of the Earth”. The first season of the series will portray what work and customs are like in other areas of activity, always bringing out the humanity behind each cultivation or relationship with animals. Carmen Perez will visit cocoa, coffee, milk, honey and livestock producers in addition to her routine as a farmer, which resulted in 15-minute mini-documentaries, with cinematic quality.

CNMA: the largest meeting of women in agribusiness

In its 7th edition, CNMA 2022 is once again the stage for the largest meeting between women in the sector, after two years in an online format. “We are preparing an even more special Congress for this year, with themes of relevance to the current scenario of women in the sector, who today have already assumed their role as protagonists and are increasingly seeking training to assume the role of leadership and decision-making within and outside the gate”, declares Carolina Gama.

The General Director of the Transamerica Expo Center, Alexandre Marcílio, reinforces the invitation and says he is excited and confident about the resumption of in-person events. “We hope that all participants in recent editions will be with us, reliving the atmosphere of unity and strength, characteristics of Brazilian agribusiness. We are sure it will be a memorable event.”
