To expand Brazilian participation in the international vegetable market, the Brazilian Agriculture and Livestock Confederation (CNA) is promoting this Wednesday (20), in Holambra (SP), the Foreign Trade Seminar on Vegetables. The event will discuss the commercialization of agricultural products, potential markets and the advantages of exporting crops.
Each year, the world trades approximately US$60 billion in vegetables and the CNA's intention with the debate is to diversify Brazilian exports so that the country can exceed the US$20 million exported in recent years.
“Our rural producers are increasingly structured and produce world-class quality products. We have great potential for several chains, such as carrots, beets, onions and tomatoes, among others,” says Stefan Coppelmans, president of the CNA National Vegetables and Flowers Commission.
The initiative is part of the actions of the Agricultural Foreign Trade Network (Interagro), a partnership between CNA and the Brazilian Export and Investment Promotion Agency (ApexBrasil), which has also promoted debate in other sectors such as flowers, fruits, honey and coffee .
The Federation of Agriculture and Livestock of the State of São Paulo (FAESP), the Brazilian Institute of Horticulture (Ibrahort) and the Ministry of Industry, Foreign Trade and Services (MDIC) support the Foreign Trade Seminar on Vegetables.
The event will be held during the 25th Hortitec - Technical Exhibition of Horticulture, Protected Cultivation and Intensive Crops of Holambra, from 16pm to 18pm. For more information access: http://www.cnabrasil.org.br/eventos/seminario-interagro-hortalicas.
