The National Rural Learning Service (Senar), a body linked to the National Confederation of Agriculture and Livestock of Brazil (CNA), has made four new booklets available for those interested in deepening their knowledge in precision agriculture, reforestation and agricultural mechanization. The material is free and available for download (www.cnabrasil.org.br/senar/colecao-senar).
The booklet “Reforestation: economic viability, implementation and commercialization” explains the details of environmental suitability and the correct choice of forest species, in addition to showing how the reforestation of commercial species can contribute to generating income and improving the well-being of rural families.
In the area of precision agriculture, there are two new primers. One of them, “Precision agriculture: variable rate fertilizer seeder operation”, shows the step-by-step, in a clear, accessible and illustrated way, of the technical procedures for using these machines in sowing.
The other booklet, “Precision Agriculture: Harvest Monitor”, details the use of the tool and how to manage the data collected in the field so that rural producers are able to make the best decisions in search of economic viability and reduced environmental impact .
The booklet “Mechanization: application of correctives and fertilizers with a self-propelled centrifugal distributor” describes automation technologies with georeferencing, the legal and safety aspects of operation, preserving worker health and safety.
The booklets have a QR Code feature, which allows the reader to point their cell phone camera at the code and obtain additional information that will help with learning.
In addition to these booklets, there are more than 180 titles to help rural producers and workers, as well as people interested in improving themselves in various areas of rural areas. To see the other booklets, visit: https://www.cnabrasil.org.br/senar/colecao-senar.
