The CNA Economic Center held a meeting, on Thursday (27), to present to the states' Agriculture and Livestock Federations the interactive platform created to provide analytical data on agricultural production in Brazilian municipalities.
The tool was created in partnership with LCA Consultores, and is part of a broader study that sought to identify how agricultural production impacts the economic and social indicators of Brazilian municipalities.
“The interactive platform presents economic, social and geographic data, in addition to the agricultural production of the 5.570 municipalities, with a historical series of more than 20 years. In addition to this data, the platform was built with the possibility of adding other information of interest over the next few months”, stated the technical director of CNA, Bruno Lucchi.
The coordinator of the CNA Economic Center, Renato Conchon, explained how the tool works and cited examples of analyzes that can be carried out by State Federations using this platform.
"With this data, we were able to have a dimension of how the sector impacts and what it represents in the municipality's economy, in addition, it is a powerful tool that can help the presidents of Federations in the debate with public authorities and with society, in order to to present the specificities of agricultural production in each municipality or state in the country,” he said.
“In addition to showing society the impact of the sector on the economy, this information will also be used to create public policies for agriculture,” he concluded.
The platform will be made available in the coming days for access by State Federations that show interest.
