Winter crop productivity increases in RS

The Brazilian Agriculture and Livestock Confederation (CNA) presented, on Thursday (1st), the agricultural priorities for the logistics and transport sector that are in the document “What we expect from the next rulers”, during the meeting of the Thematic Chamber of Logistics and Infrastructure of the Ministry of Agriculture.
The material was created in conjunction with the state agriculture and livestock federations and rural unions and brings agricultural contributions not only to the sector's specific themes, but also proposals of interest to society in general.
The topic of logistics and transport is part of one of the four axes of the document, which deals with food security. The material also contains proposals for economic development, social development and sustainable development.
The technical advisor of the CNA National Infrastructure and Logistics Commission, Elisangela Pereira Lopes, spoke about the sector's main challenges for the flow of agricultural production and presented an x-ray of the current infrastructure.
In the entity's set of proposals, it listed demands for road, rail and waterway modes, in addition to ports, storage and logistics corridors. In her presentation, she also reinforced the importance of legal certainty for the fulfillment of contracts, reduction of bureaucracy, agility in environmental licensing and free competition.
Elisangela also addressed points related to the recovery of transport networks, regulatory frameworks, concessions, tax relief, investments and the need for demand for cargo flow on roads, railways and waterways, based on the growth of agricultural production.
