CNA donates BRL 5 million to fight Coronavirus

President of the CNA reiterates that agriculture has shown its strength, ensuring that Brazilian rural producers will continue producing food to supply the cities

The Brazilian Confederation of Agriculture and Livestock (CNA) will donate R$5 million to the Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock and Supply (Mapa) to help with health actions to combat the Coronavirus pandemic.

In a letter sent to Minister Tereza Cristina (see below), the president of the CNA, João Martins, states that the entity is committed to contributing to the search for solutions that help the country combat the spread of Covid-19, “in this great battle that we are fighting for the survival of the population.”

Martins also reiterates that agro has shown its strength, ensuring that Brazilian rural producers will continue to produce food to supply the cities, “which is as essential as the actions of public agents to preserve everyone's health”.
