According to the coordinator of the Technology GT of the Brazilian Agriculture and Livestock Confederation (CNA), Reginaldo Minaré, the meeting reaffirmed the previous decision to guarantee farmers' freedom to reserve seeds for their own use and also to produce bio-inputs on their properties. for your own use.
“The CNA, in its work to regulate the decree on seeds and seedlings and in the construction of standards for the production of bio-inputs, will act to guarantee the freedom of farmers and contribute to ensuring that the standards are as objective and functional as possible”, he stated.
The meeting was attended by representatives from several state agriculture and livestock federations. According to Minaré, the group highlighted the importance of regulating the technical reserve and transport of seeds for own use and guaranteeing the agronomic efficiency of the characteristics of registered cultivar plant varieties.
