COP27 begins with great challenges
Efforts remain insufficient to limit global temperature rise by the end of the century
The Brazilian Agriculture and Livestock Confederation (CNA), in partnership with entities in the agricultural sector, developed informative material to guide producers on how to deal with weeds in soybean crops.
The digital publication provides information for rural producers about the main weeds and good management practices, and will be made available for rural federations and unions to disseminate in the states.
CNA is part of a working group from the Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock and Supply (Mapa) with several entities representing the sector to prevent the occurrence of these pests in soybean cargo, mainly in those destined for China.
China updated the list of weed species considered quarantine in that country, whose seeds cannot be present in Brazilian soybean production. Furthermore, weeds cause great losses to the producer, such as loss of productivity, for example, and adequate management allows for a reduction in production costs.
The entities that contributed to the preparation of the material were: Aprosoja Brasil, CropLife Brasil, Embrapa, Organization of Brazilian Cooperatives (OCB) and National Association of Agricultural and Veterinary Input Distributors (Andav).
