Dispute between US and China boosts domestic soybean values
The intensification of the trade war, and now the exchange rate, between the United States and China has sharply raised soybean prices in Brazil in recent days
A Climatempo announces its partnership with SGS Unigeo. Together, the companies will work towards expanding this market, focused on increasing productivity and profitability in the field. Through Advisor, Climatempo's API service, SGS Unigeo will have access to historical data, weather forecasts and other meteorological information in real time that will contribute to the consultancy process that the company offers to the field.
“With incorrect information, the risk of making unnecessary investments is great. Therefore, it is essential to obtain data accurately and safely. Processes must be audited, certified and carried out by trained professionals, as we do at SGS Unigeo. Within this scenario, the Climatempo API will also offer quality data with a high level of accuracy, characteristic of our services”, says Leonardo Gomes Cândido, founder and commercial director of the company.
Among the solutions offered by SGS Unigeo are the Univista Agro application, which allows you to anticipate decisions on the farm. The farmer can plan, monitor and visualize the field, providing greater efficiency and profitability, anytime and anywhere. Among the main functions of the app are the possibility of monitoring planting, carrying out plant stand analysis, surveying infestation levels, monitoring rainfall distribution and managing chemical product stocks.
“The Advisor will be a great ally in farmers’ decision-making process, as it offers essential information so they can define their next steps in the field. Together with SGS Unigeo, we hope to be able to expand the adoption of precision agriculture across the country, contributing to increasing agricultural profitability”, says Oliver Thies, CTO at Climatempo.
Launched in 2017, Advisor Climatempo offers a daily forecast, for up to 15 days, and an hourly forecast, for up to 72 hours, of the variables temperature, rain, wind and relative humidity. Furthermore, with Advisor it is possible to consult historical data and information about the current weather condition for any city in the country, as well as receive weather alerts for weather conditions that could affect field operations and cause losses to farmers.
Today the Precision Agriculture (AP) cycle demands that producers understand the different ways in which they can experience production losses. The weather is one of the main influencers of productivity, so complete and functional consultancy involves knowledge of what happened and future possibilities. Aligning Univista Agro's work bases with the climate means providing producers with a broader view of their production system, with the possibility of diagnosing one or more reasons that justify investment, both to increase production and reduce costs.
