The supply of larger-caliber Tahiti limes is gradually increasing this month in the state of São Paulo. This is because the rains between October and November favored the growth and color of the fruits. For the next few days, forecasts indicate new precipitation in important producing regions of Tahiti.

With larger caliber fruit entering the market, the availability of small Tahiti fruit has decreased. It is worth remembering that, until the middle of this month, the supply of small fruit was high – due to the impacts of drought.

As for prices, the average fruit in this part of December (until the 23rd) is already almost 36% lower than that recorded in November. Lower prices for Tahiti, in turn, may favor the reinsertion of Brazilian fruit into the international market. High prices had been reducing the variety's competitiveness since August, especially against Mexico.
