The citrus market is at a slow pace this week. In addition to the period of the month (second fortnight) being less busy, the holidays at the beginning of this week (of the Proclamation of the Republic, 15th) and next Saturday (of Black Consciousness, 20th) accentuated the slowness of commerce.
For pear oranges, prices have continued to fall in recent days. In the partial week (from Tuesday to Thursday), the average was R$ 45,23/box of 40,8 kg, a decrease of 1,5% compared to the previous week. It is worth mentioning that, according to Cepea employees, the quality of late fruits exceeds that of pears in some regions, bringing the values of these varieties closer together.
In the case of Tahiti lime, prices remain firm, but are already showing a decline in some regions of the state of São Paulo, given the market's resistance to high values. This week, prices average R$40,59/box of 27kg, an increase of 11,9% compared to the previous week.
