• Environment

Contribute to climate resilience: With our perennial orange orchards, we directly contribute to removing carbon from the atmosphere, capturing more than 500 thousand tons of CO2 per year. But, in addition, we defined the commitment to reduce emissions by 28% in scopes 1 and 2 by 2030 and remove 1,6 million tons of CO2 from the atmosphere, with the net balance of GHG removals and emissions increasingly positive. chain leaders, we are aware of the role of stimulating the transition to a low-carbon economy with our input and service partners, also reducing emissions in scope 3. Our climate agenda is supported by the Science Based Target Initiative (SBTi), the largest global governance of the topic, in which we formalized the commitment to act in the scenario below a two-degree temperature increase.

Promote biodiversity: We currently manage more than 19 thousand hectares of conservation through our operations and are committed to intensifying the development of structured projects for 100% of the hectares destined for environmental protection, strengthening our positive impact. Our biodiversity journey will be sustained by expanding bee and honey production; faunal and floristic characterization and monitoring; and expansion of the native seedling nursery, increasing the planting of orchards.

Rationally manage water resources: We use the drip irrigation system in our operations, which is the most efficient in rationalizing water resources, and we will guarantee even more rationality through the expansion of reservoirs and management actions around river basins, rationalizing water capture by 100 % of critical basins. In our factories, we will increase water use efficiency by 20%, through monitoring and technology, ensuring lower consumption of resources for the development of our products. Both movements will positively impact the availability of water to stakeholders.

• Social

Drive social transformation: We operate in an integrated manner with the 16 territories of influence and impact more than 31 thousand people through our social projects. To further drive the social transformation of these territories, we will act to reduce the greatest social vulnerability identified in 100% of the prioritized territories of influence. We will develop integrated interventions through social and impact investment, in synergy with public policies, local vocations and actors in the ecosystem of each territory.

Promote diversity, equity and inclusion: We consistently work on diversity, equity and inclusion themes and actions to ensure an inclusive environment in our company. We have made progress in the inclusion of people with disabilities, today having more than 400 PWD employees in our environment. Our company's central objective is to value people as they are through their skills and potential, adding value to the business with their different visions and experiences. We also want to provide greater representation of women and black people in our leadership. For 2030, we are committed to expanding opportunities and access to leadership positions for women and people of color, reaching at least 30% representation. This program will be strengthened by leadership and awareness and engagement campaigns.

•  Governance

Lead the sustainable value chain: Citrosuco already operates with 100% of its own operations certified according to the SAI Platform gold level, operating in accordance with the most robust international agricultural practices. We will continue to evolve in line with our commitment to achieve, by 2030, a 100% sustainable chain through promotion, coordination and partnerships to enable sustainability certifications in partner producers.
