Cibra in Uberaba receives first shipment of ammonium nitrate

Cibra announced the start of operations with ammonium nitrate at its Uberaba unit. According to the company's Product Manager, Rafael do Val, ammonium nitrate is a fertilizer that provides high efficiency and high solubility.

With 34% nitrogen (N) in its composition, it presents greater availability of this element to plants and favors the absorption of other elements present in the soil through its unique balance between two forms of nitrogen (nitric and ammonia). Furthermore, it does not suffer losses due to volatilization – and can be applied in areas with low humidity – and presents less soil acidification compared to other nitrogen sources.

The nitrogen provided by ammonium nitrate is essential for the development of crops, as it acts directly in the photosynthesis process, in the formation of essential substances, such as vitamins, carbohydrates and proteins, and in the development of the root system.

“With the arrival of ammonium nitrate, we expanded our area of ​​activity and offered new possibilities to customers”, says Luiz Freiberger, the company's Commercial Director.
