The Brazilian Soy Strategic Committee (CESB) begins its 2025/2026 term with the appointment of its new board of directors, led by Daniel Glat (president), Sergio Abud (vice-president), Ricardo Arioli (marketing director) and Fernando Gonçalves (financial director). The main objective of the new team is to bring CESB even closer to producers and sponsoring companies, reinforcing the institution's role as a technical reference in Brazilian soybean farming.

According to Glat, one of the main actions will be to expand the National Forum for Maximum Soybean Productivity, an event that is already part of the national agricultural calendar, transforming it into a large-scale technical meeting. “The idea is to have a broader program, consisting of debates, round tables and lectures. We will also encourage our group of consultants to analyze in depth the 15 years of data that CESB has accumulated, producing valuable information for producers,” the president anticipates.

Promotion of efficient agriculture

The new vice president of CESB, Sergio Abud, emphasizes the importance of continuing to promote efficient, technologically advanced and sustainable agriculture. “Being part of the CESB board of directors is a great responsibility and an opportunity to contribute to the advancement of agribusiness. CESB plays a fundamental role in generating and disseminating high-level technical knowledge, leading to significant gains in productivity. I will support initiatives that offer greater profitability to producers and, at the same time, ensure the longevity of production systems. I believe that by integrating science, precision management, seed quality and good agronomic practices, it is possible to achieve high productivity with economic and environmental balance. I also intend to foster the development of new leaders and encourage the use of technologies that assist producers in decision-making, always with a focus on the sustainability of Brazilian agribusiness,” he points out.

Diffusion of knowledge

For the new Marketing Director, Ricardo Arioli, CESB plays a fundamental role in disseminating relevant information on productivity, and he is committed to increasing the availability of this data to soybean producers. “Being part of the CESB board is an honor, as I recognize the high level of knowledge and dedication of everyone. It is also an opportunity to contribute even more to CESB’s cause: generating and sharing knowledge that increases soybean productivity in our country,” he says.

Sustainability and results

The new CFO, Fernando Gonçalves, highlights the committee’s impact on the evolution of soybean productivity rates in Brazil. “The National Challenge for Maximum Soybean Productivity, for example, encourages producers to adopt innovative practices, generating significant and shareable results. In addition, CESB is a technical reference, promoting knowledge, experiences and sustainable solutions. By joining the board, I reinforce my commitment to the mission of stimulating productivity growth by combining sustainability and profitability. Being close to producers and ensuring the long-term viability of the entity are priorities. More than a position, I see this role as a voluntary mission in favor of the future of Brazilian agriculture, believing that technical, ethical and strategic collaboration strengthens the sector”, he states.

Next edition of the National Forum

On June 26, CESB will hold another edition of the National Forum for Maximum Soybean Productivity, when the producers and consultants who won the National Challenge for Maximum Soybean Productivity for the 24/25 harvest will be announced. During the event, success stories will also be shared, reinforcing the committee's vocation to stimulate high production rates, aligning sustainability and competitiveness in the soybean market.
