CCAS debates pest resistance

Event will bring together researchers, producers and influencers of national agriculture

The Scientific Council for Sustainable Agriculture (CCAS) participates in the Symposium on the Resistance of Pests, Weeds and Fungi to Phytosanitary Products, between the 5th and 6th of September, at the Rural Union of Rio Verde/GO. The event will be promoted by the “Luiz de Queiroz” Study Group of the “Luiz de Queiroz” College of Agriculture (ESALQ/USP). Among the coordinators is the Financial Director of CCAS, José Otavio Menten, also Vice-President of the Brazilian Association of Higher Agricultural Education (ABEAS), Agronomist, Master and Doctor in Agronomy, Post-Doctorates in Pest Management and Biotechnology, Professor Associate of ESALQ/USP.

The target audience will be those who influence decision-making processes in the Brazilian agricultural productive sectors, with a focus on the area of ​​plant defense and the use of phytosanitary products. The Symposium will also serve as training for undergraduate and postgraduate Agricultural Sciences students from across the country.
