Capes maintained a grade of 4, out of a maximum of 5, for the course. “Maintaining the 4 rating is a reason to celebrate, but it also encourages us to evolve. After eight years of its creation, the course is mature and on the right path to increasingly becoming a reference in the production sector and academia.”
The course has a strictu sensu postgraduate modality aimed at professionals who work in the citrus industry, especially agronomists and biologists. The first group began in 2009 following a demand from the citrus sector for more qualified professionals to face the crop's phytosanitary challenges.
The course is held at the Fundecitrus headquarters, in Araraquara, and lasts two years. In the first year, students attend practical and theoretical classes and in the second year they carry out practical research in the field.
“MasterCitrus’ differential is its ability to quickly generate applied solutions to face the diversity of phytosanitary and phytotechnical challenges that exist in citrus farming and directly contribute to the evolution of the citrus production chain in Brazil and around the world”
Candidates are selected through a test, CV analysis and research project evaluation. The next selection process will be held in 2018.
