New guidelines emphasize the State's responsibility, the importance of transparency and the right to compensation in cases of environmental damage
The purchase of Husqvarna shares by Bosch was approved by the Administrative Council for Economic Defense (Cade). Although the operation takes place worldwide, the revenue of companies in Brazil generated a legal obligation for the business to be analyzed by the federal authority.
The deal consists of the purchase, by Robert Bosch GmbH, through its wholly-owned subsidiary, Robert Bosch Investment Nederland BV (based in the Netherlands), of a minority stake (approximately 7,19%) in Husqvarna AB, owned by J.P. Morgan SE.
Upon completion of the deal, Bosch will become the owner of 12% of Husqvarna shares (with voting rights of less than 5%). Graphically, the question will look like this:

Husqvarna is a Swedish legal entity, headquartered in Jönköping, in the south of that country. Its activities began in 1689. It produced muskets (below). Currently, in Brazil, it stands out for products for use in forests, parks and gardens. It operates here as a manufacturer and importer of products under the brands Husqvarna, Gardena and Diamant Boart.
