C.Vale expects to receive six thousand people for the inauguration of its soybean crusher. The ceremony is scheduled for November 7th, at the cooperative's agro-industrial complex, in Palotina. Guests will occupy a 100 x 50 meter, air-conditioned tent, which began to be set up on October 16th.

The inauguration ceremony is scheduled to begin at 15pm next Tuesday and will be attended by the governor of Paraná, Ratinho Júnior, as well as other authorities, suppliers from Brazil and abroad, customers, associates and employees.

The crushing works are being completed two years after they began, in November 2021. At the peak of work, the work involved 1.100 workers from 35 companies. The structure received more than R$1 billion in investments and occupies 12 hectares in the cooperative's industrial park.

The choice of date (November 7) was deliberate, to coincide with the 60th anniversary of the founding of C.Vale. The president of the cooperative says that the venture is the realization of a dream of the first members. “They wanted a soybean crusher, it would have been small at the time. The industry that we are going to put into operation is large, it has a capacity for 60 thousand bags per day, the third largest in Brazil and the first in technological level”, he assures. The crusher will produce soybean meal and oil for the manufacture of feed by C.Vale.

During the ceremony, the State government, Palotina City Hall and C.Vale will sign an agreement through which the municipality's road contour will be completed, providing access to the cooperative's agro-industrial complex.

Soybean crusher capacity

With an investment of R$1 billion, the unit will have parking for 240 trucks, soybean storage for 4 million bags, bran storage for 68 thousand tons, and a capacity of 60 thousand bags per day. Technologies from Germany, Belgium, Canada and Switzerland will also be implemented. The expectation is that 580 direct and indirect jobs will be created.
