Despite crop failures caused by droughts and floods, and the reduction in grain prices, 2024 was a satisfactory year for C.Vale. The cooperative achieved three important advances during the period: the purchase of the Paturi fish slaughterhouse, the start of preparations for soybean seed production in Goiás, and the start of operations of the soybean crusher. In Goiás, seeds will be multiplied to serve soybean producers in the Cerrado.

The soybean crusher has made rapid progress in adjusting the grain processing process and is now operating at 92% of the industry's capacity, equivalent to 53,3 thousand bags/day, less than six months after starting operations. “It was a satisfactory year given all the situations we faced,” summarizes C.Vale CEO Alfredo Lang.

Lang also reveals that the cooperative has received certification for exporting soybean meal. The seed production unit in Catalão, Goiás, is expected to begin operating in early 2025.

The president anticipates that revenue in 2024 will be lower than the previous year due to droughts and floods. In 2023, the cooperative's revenues reached R$24,4 billion.
