From 2024, the C.Vale cooperative will have an administrative board and an executive board. During the Extraordinary General Assembly (AGE), members unanimously approved the new management model. From the next Ordinary General Assembly, scheduled for the beginning of next year, the plenary will choose the president and eight other administrative councilors. It will be up to the elected president to appoint the vice-president, the secretary-director and an executive board, which will be led by a CEO/executive manager. The election of the fiscal council remains the same, with 1/3 renewal each year.

The EGM, with changes to some clauses of the statute, was held at Asfuca de Palotina and was attended by around 100 people, including associates and employees. For the president of C.Vale, Alfredo Lang, the new management format follows the proposal to revitalize the modernization plan. “This new management format will give a new impetus to the cooperative, with greater monitoring, control and greater agility in decision-making and execution.”

According to Lang, the new executive manager could be a professional from within the cooperative itself or hired from the market. “In short, we will have two fronts, an administrative board to plan the future of the cooperative and an executive board that will put into practice what the membership framework defined”, he summarizes.
