Agribusiness and the environment go hand in hand in Brazil, as the sector has always sought to apply the best sustainable practices throughout the production chain. This motivated the BW Expo, Summit and Digital 2020 movement to have the Sustainable Agribusiness Center, which is curated by the Brazilian Agribusiness Association (ABAG). For the event to be held between November 17th and 19th, the group will feature four presentations. Registration is free and can be done directly at this link.
The president of the ABAG Board of Directors, Marcello Brito, will provide an assessment on Agro in Front of Brazil’s Image Abroad. In his talk, he will comment on the myths and truths related to the topic, the issues that harm the country's image in the world and the impacts on agribusiness in the short and long term.
Renato do Aragão Ribeiro Rodrigues, researcher at Embrapa Soils, will talk about Crop-Livestock-Forest Integration (ILPF), as one of the productive revolutions of the 21st century. ILPF is a strategy that encourages the integration of production, with proven results in terms of productivity and profitability, but also in reducing environmental impacts.
Wellington Galassi, partner at Mango Ventures, will show the challenges of innovation to promote the competitiveness and sustainable development of agribusiness. Head of the Internationalization committee at ABStartUps (Brazilian Association of StartUps), he also participates in the ABAG Innovation committee.
Finally, Antonio Carrere, director of Strategic Planning for Latin America at John Deere Brazil, will also participate in the Center's programming, giving a presentation on sustainable agriculture.
Totally virtual, broadcast via official website, BW will feature more than 100 hours of content, interactive activities, relationship and business actions and exhibition of products, services and technologies.
