You Corn prices continue to rise in the national physical market, even with the beginning of the harvest of the first crop in the South. According to Cepea employees, the consecutive appreciations have worried buyers, who report difficulties to replenish stocks.

At the state of São Paulo, specifically, even with the increase in the supply of Midwest, plaintiffs have preferred to buy the São Paulo cereal, which was in warehouses since the harvest of the second crop. However, smaller volumes – the higher prices – have been purchased, but with fast delivery.

In between January 14th and 21st, the ESALQ/BM&FBovespa Indicator, referring to the region of Campinas (SP), rose 1,6%, closing at R$ 98,33/60 kg bag on Friday, 21, accumulating 15 consecutive days of increase and returning to August levels 2021.
