Jundiaí starts agribusiness support program
Producer can receive up to R$ 3 thousand per productive hectare
Bunge reported its results for the second quarter of this year today. The highlight was agribusiness, which boosted its earnings. There was also strong performance in the refined and specialty oils segment.
Greg Heckman, CEO of Bunge, commented: “We delivered solid results by successfully navigating a highly dynamic quarter through agility and discipline, capturing opportunities and continuing to serve our customers at both ends of the value chain. Our team remained flexible, leveraging our global footprint and connectivity to optimize margins and utilization as market conditions evolved throughout the quarter.”
“We look forward to our announced combination with Viterra, which will accelerate our strategy of moving even closer to farmers by expanding direct origination, while also expanding our global processing and distribution network to better serve our consumer customers. We continue to execute on our strategic priorities, focusing on adopting sustainable practices in global food, feed and fuel production, including low-carbon product flows, regenerative agriculture and end-to-end traceability across key crops. With enhanced capabilities, a world-class team and a strong balance sheet, we are well positioned to create value for all our stakeholders,” he concluded.
