Soybean crops in Rio Grande do Sul show symptoms of water deficit
Despite this, in irrigated areas and where rainfall was higher, crops developed very well.
The Association of Soy and Corn Producers of Paraná (Aprosoja-PR) informs producers and their members that the entity, together with Aprosoja Brasil, is requesting measures to help farmers affected by the losses of the 2023/2024 harvest.
Among the measures forwarded to the Ministry of Agriculture are the extension, for at least six months, of agricultural financing installments that are about to expire, in order to allow the farmer to pay for the next crop. Aprosoja Paraná also requested that the installments relating to investments be extended to the last installment.
Amid the harvest failure, Aprosoja Paraná declared that it regrets that there are still companies in the sector that insist on overestimating the size of the 2023/2024 harvest, “ignoring the losses, which affects the grain market in relation to prices and brings numerous losses to grain producers”.
