The Brazil Sugarcane Bioenergy Solution Project, a partnership between Apla (Local Alcohol Production Arrangement) and ApexBrasil (Brazilian Export and Investment Promotion Agency), holds international business rounds from August 13 to 16 in Ribeirão Preto, in the interior of São Paulo.

The business meeting is part of the parallel program of the 30th Fenasucro & Agrocana (International Bioenergy Fair), the largest global event in the sugar-energy sector, focusing on bioenergy, agriculture, industry, transport and logistics.

The business rounds will bring together 60 national companies to present the latest innovations in equipment technology, machines and solutions, especially aimed at the production of sugar, ethanol, bioenergy and other bioproducts derived from sugar cane.

In business rounds, Brazilian companies will have the opportunity to offer their products and services in individual meetings to 20 potential buyers of sugar mills, plants and groups coming from Argentina, Bolivia, Colombia, Costa Rica, Honduras, Mexico, Nicaragua, Panama, Peru and Uruguay.

During the four days of business rounds, the National Development Bank (BNDES) will be on call to answer questions and provide guidance on support programs for the sugar-energy sector and exports.

Complementary programming

One of the highlights this year will be the visit of the Minister of Sugar Industry of the Republic of Fiji, Charan Singh. As part of a cooperation project with the Brazilian Cooperation Agency of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the visit has the support of Apla and ApexBrasil during the program with the sugar-energy sector in Sertãozinho.

Apla's executive director, Flavio Castellari, believes that this will be one of the most important missions in the Brazil Sugarcane Project's annual program. “We will promote business meetings between Brazil and different countries, with the aim of presenting the full diversity of Brazilian solutions for the production of bioproducts derived from sugar cane. Brazil is the main reference in the global sugar-energy sector and, through these missions, we contribute to the sustainable development of the sector worldwide.”

In the program, the group of foreigners will visit Fenasucro & Agrocana to see the stands and new innovations at the fair and will also visit Usina Viralcool and the Instituto Agronomic Campinas (IAC) and participate in business rounds at the Hotel TRYP by Wyndham in Ribeirão Preto.
