Brandt, a supplier of foliar fertilizers, invests in a new and modern industrial unit in Brazil, increasing its production capacity in the country. The purchase and renovation of the plant represents a multimillion-dollar investment.

The 22 thousand m² factory will be located on land measuring approximately 7 hectares (70 thousand m²), in the metropolitan region of Londrina (PR). The site will house several production lines, storage of finished products, a quality control laboratory and an experimental station for research and development of new products.

The expectation is that the factory will be active within two years. The investment, according to president Wladimir Chaga, quadruples Brandt's production capacity in the country. The company, with North American capital, will maintain its factory in Olímpia (SP), which has a strategic location for access to the Cerrado and the Port of Santos.

“In Olímpia, we will focus on dry products, while the new factory will be the hub for the other products in our portfolio. This important investment will allow the production, on Brazilian soil, of foliar fertilizers using North American technology, which until now have been imported”, highlights Chaga.

The investment will generate, in the first phase, at least 100 direct jobs. Work has already begun and is expected to be completed in 2022. Brandt estimates that the production capacity of the new unit will reach 20 million liters per year.

“With more production capacity, in addition to providing more solutions for the Brazilian market, we will also expand our technical and commercial teams”, projects the president of Brandt do Brasil, whose headquarters are located in Londrina (PR), a few kilometers from the new factory.

Brandt has been in the country for five years. In the United States, the company was founded in 1953 and successfully manufactures inputs for various crops. Specialist in plant nutrition, the company is already present in more than 65 nations, with technologies that have even contributed to world records in soybean and corn productivity.

“This is a big step for Brandt do Brasil”, commented Rick Brandt, CEO and President of Brandt. “Our objective is to take a large production destined for the Brazilian market to local factories. We are deeply committed to Brazil and want to position ourselves for long-term success in the country and in South America. This new factory will help us do that.”

The new industrial complex will be dedicated to Glen Brandt (GB), founder of Brandt. GB passed away peacefully at the age of 94 in June 2020. He visited the Brandt do Brasil team in São Paulo on his last international trip in 2018.
