BASF announces eight new molecules in Brazil by 2030
In addition to Revysol and Axalion, there are six more: herbicides, insecticides and fungicides.
The National Bank for Economic and Social Development (BNDES) will support the construction of an industrial unit and facilities for storing inputs for fertilizer production in Paranaguá/PR. In the amount of up to R$60,9 million, the financing will be granted to Adubos Araguaia, through the BNDES Finem program. The new factory will allow the company's logistical expansion to new agricultural markets in the South, Southeast and Center-West regions of Brazil.
The industrial project includes civil works and assemblies for the construction of a fertilizer mixing factory and a warehouse for the distribution of inputs. Structures will also be built to support the operation, such as guardhouses and administrative facilities.
Adubos Araguaia produces two lines of fertilizers: NPK, which combine basic plant nutrients (nitrogen, phosphorus and potassium); and special ones, created using the company's own formulas containing other nutrient additives for better performance.
The construction of the industrial unit will allow imported raw materials, which represent 80% of the inputs needed for Araguaia's fertilizer formulations, to be unloaded through the city's own port. National raw materials, in turn, will be transported by road to the new production unit.
In addition to these logistical gains, the company will take advantage of the new warehouse to stock inputs at levels sufficient to withstand any delivery difficulties from foreign suppliers.
