BioSummit 2024 takes place from May 28th to 29th

Programming will feature experts in the biological agricultural inputs market; first batch of registrations closes on March 1st

Debating the current situation in agricultural bioinputs and outlining perspectives for this market: these are the objectives of the BioSummit program, the main biological inputs event in Latin America, which takes place on the 28th and 29th of May at the Royal Palm Hall, in Campinas (SP ). The first batch of registrations closes on March 1st. This year, the event has a difference: for groups of more than ten people, one of the registrations is free. 

Daiana Bisognin Lopes CEO of FB Group, organizer of the event, highlights that BioSummit was born from the need to unite all actors in the bioinput industry in Brazil and Latin America to answer market questions. “We are building a space to create business opportunities, where industry, farmers and the distribution sector come side by side with researchers and regulatory bodies to share knowledge and discuss trends,” she says.

Agenda

The event will feature lectures with renowned experts in the field, who will address topics such as “Bioinputs Market – Numbers, Growth and Perspectives: World, Latin American and Brazilian Bioinputs Market”; “Evolution of Regulatory Aspects of Bioinputs: Brazilian Regulatory Aspects and Food Safety”; and “Science and Innovation Applied to Bioinputs”. 

The topic “Bioinputs Market – Numbers, Growth and Perspectives” will be addressed by Colombian chemist, biologist and researcher on biological pest control Alba Maria Cotes; by the agronomist with extensive experience in market research at Kynetec, Cristiano Limberger; and by the researcher from the Brazilian Agricultural Research Corporation (Embrapa), Wagner Bettiol. 

The Secretary of Agricultural Defense of the Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock and Supply (Mapa), Carlos Goulart; and the director of Cesis Consultoria e Training Ltda, Francys Vilella. The theme “Science and Innovation Applied to Bioinputs” will be addressed by the agronomist researcher at Embrapa Meio Ambiente, Rodrigo Mendes. 

The speakers Antonio Carlos Zem, CEO of Biotrop; Daniel Fisberg, managing director of Pátria Investments; Eric Emiliano, partner at LEK Consulting; Ricardo Bellon, partner at RFA Capital; Thales Facanali Martins, Portfolio Manager at Biotrop; Adeney Freitas Bueno, researcher at Embrapa Soja; Flavio Medeiros, professor at the Federal University of Lavras (UFLA); Roberto Lanna Filho, professor at the Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul (UFRGS); Jerson Guedes, professor at the Federal University of Santa Maria (UFSM); and Yelitza Colmenarez, director of CABI Brasil. 

Market integration

The purpose of the event is to integrate stakeholders from the world of biological inputs, bringing together leaders, investors, industry representatives, distribution and marketing specialists, researchers, technical consultants, farmers, cooperatives, the press, businesspeople and other associative entities, who will discuss the state current situation of this market and the future of this promising industry.

The BioSummit is coordinated by a technical committee made up of experts covering scientific, technological and industrial knowledge, as well as experience in the distribution, commercialization and use of biological inputs.
