Acadian Plant Health (APH) is present at the 13th edition of the Andav Congress presenting its seaweed extracts Ascophyllum nodosum. The raw material is the active input for biosolutions and has helped Brazilian farmers to enhance the quality of crops in the face of stress factors – including climate – that challenge agricultural production.

“Extracts from Ascophyllum nodosum They are natural inputs with the potential to revolutionize agriculture. These products represent an important biostimulant to combat climate change and impacts on biodiversity. Furthermore, they are important for the greater resilience of plants, contributing to the food security of Brazil and the planet”, explains Gustavo Gonella, Acadian's marketing director for South America.

Biostimulants are used to mitigate abiotic stressors – which are “non-living” environmental factors such as heat and cold – and improve plant growth, health and productivity. With the increase in extreme weather events, stress factors such as drought, flooding and salinity are increasing pressure on farmers.

APH products are composed 100% of Ascophyllum nodosum and provide several benefits. "Our biosolutions increase the physical, chemical and biological properties of the soil, promote root activity, improve water and nutrient absorption, increase tolerance to water and saline stress, increase productivity and improve plant vigor, in addition to increasing tolerance to temperature stress", explains APH account manager, Thiago Moya.
