A public-private partnership between Embrapa and the company Bioma offers the Brazilian market for the first time an inoculant fully developed using national technology. The product called BiomaPhos It is produced from two bacteria identified by Embrapa, one in the soil and the other in corn – and is capable of increasing the absorption of phosphorus by plants, which could change the situation of Brazil's high dependence on the international fertilizer market.

BiomaPhos will be launched in Sorriso-MT this Tuesday, the 1st, followed by Campo Novo do Parecis on the 2nd and Lucas do Rio Verde on the 3rd, Thursday. The product can generate a 10% increase in corn and soybean productivity and reduce the use of phosphate fertilizers. It is the first national inoculant for phosphorus absorption by plants.
