Sementes Biomatrix, belonging to the Agroceres Group, will hold the 5th High Quality Silage Seminar, in Ribeirão Preto, on the 4th and 5th of July. With the aim of providing producers with information about the meat and milk market and best practices in ensiling processes, the event has become one of the most traditional and technically specialized in the production of silages with high nutritional value.
Among the highlights of the seminar is the production of cob silage or "snaplage", an additional alternative for producers, still little explored in the milk and meat regions of Brazil. “The production of high-quality silage is an excellent strategy for storing food on farms. Through available technologies, it is possible to obtain preserved food, of high quality and energy concentration. Consequently, there will be a reduction in diet costs, with a reduction in the use of concentrates, increasing gains in both animal health and productivity, improving the profitability of the entire chain”, explains Antonio Benedetti Junior, regional Business coordinator at Sementes Biomatrix .
Producing silage is a practice widely used in Brazil, accepted in all animal species (beef and dairy cattle, sheep and horses), but which requires full attention to detail, as losses occur in most properties during the ensiling process. .
“Sementes Biomatrix specializes in seeking more specific hybrids for the segment, capable of guaranteeing greater digestibility for ruminants. This was confirmed in the field, where dairy and beef farmers have already realized the advantages of the hybrids we offer to the market”, adds Benedetti.
