The 23rd Brazilian Agribusiness Congress will be promoted by Abag (Brazilian Agribusiness Association) and B3, the Brazilian stock exchange, on August 5th, in a hybrid format, and will debate the central theme of Biocompetitiveness. The event is considered one of the most important in the sector in the country, as it brings together authorities, experts and businesspeople to discuss the most urgent and relevant issues for the sustainable development of national agriculture, guiding trends and paths that provide more competitiveness, productivity and profitability across all sectors. the links in the chain.
The Congress program will feature two panels: Geopolitics and Sustainability, and Fragmented Club: Will Brazil be an Associate?, and a round table that will address the topic of Competitiveness and Opportunities, which will receive representatives from the Ministry of Agriculture and Livestock and important sectoral entities, leaders of consultancies and intelligence and market analysis companies, authorities, rural producers and specialists from private Brazilian institutions. The inaugural lecture that will deal with biocompetitiveness will be given by Nelson Ferreira, Senior Partner and Global Agriculture Leader at Mckinsey & Company.
During the event, Abag will pay tribute to the former Minister of Agriculture, Marcos Montes, who will receive the Ney Bittencourt de Araújo Award – Agribusiness Personality. Montes was mayor of Uberaba (from 1997 to 2004), Secretary of Social Development and Sports of Minas Gerais, and federal deputy for three terms, between 2007 and 2019.
In 2023, the Brazilian Agribusiness Congress was attended by more than 840 people from all over the country in person and more than 6,4 people accessed the online broadcast of the event. The participating public was made up of businesspeople, sector leaders, public authorities linked to federal, state and municipal governments, parliamentarians, as well as professionals linked to agriculture.
