Banco do Brasil and the National Association of Agricultural and Veterinary Input Distributors (Andav) signed a partnership with the aim of increasing support and relationships between the more than 1,9 associated companies - and their respective customers - with the Bank. With the agreement, credit solutions and services will be made available for the agricultural and veterinary inputs sector, covering lines of Working Capital and Anticipation of Receivables, Investment and Credit Securities, in addition to other products aimed at the Individual and Corporate segments.
BB's Vice President of Agribusiness, Renato Naegele, states that the importance of this action, promoting solutions that converge with the interests of producers and companies, lies in allowing predictability of resources and support for the expansion of production capacity. “The partnership between BB and Andav and the work with resellers provide financial alternatives to rural producers to speed up the acquisition of inputs”, he highlights.
Alberto Yoshida, president of the Board of Directors of Andav, considers that “the role of the distributor as a financier of crops must always permeate the debates on the performance of this professional who, in addition to extending products and services at the end, also fulfills a decisive role in granting credit, and in this sense, the agreement with Banco do Brasil meets a series of needs of the sector." "In parallel, the distributor continues to invest and is prepared to continue facilitating good practices and technologies to rural producers, which results in us increasing our production productivity. sustainable way in the social, economic and environmental spheres”.
“Today, the distributor of agricultural inputs is responsible for taking 48% of all inputs that reach the field, due to its capillarity, it meets the needs of rural producers in our agricultural borders in different types of crops. This activity requires a high level of specificity, and this also applies when extending credit” says Paulo Tiburcio, Executive President of Andav.
Another new feature is the pilot with three companies associated with Andav for the origination of agricultural credit, which will act as banking correspondents, contracting Rural Product Certificate – CPR financing with rural producers for the acquisition of inputs, with the establishment of an operational ceiling. The funds will be released by the customer directly on the BB app with the issuance of the titles. Participating resellers operate in the states of Goiás, Minas Gerais and Mato Grosso.
For João Carlos de Nobrega Pecego, vice-president of Wholesale Business, "the signing of the agreement allows us to have more predictability in our actions to quickly seek rapprochement with the association's resellers in the country". He also highlighted the importance of working together between Wholesale and Retail in presenting value proposals for resales, and in the agreement's contribution to the technical training of rural producers.
Vice President of Retail, Carlos Motta, adds that the partnership with Andav has a direct connection with BB's strategy of operating in production chains, reinforcing its historical skills. "This partnership strengthens our proximity to the Agro, PF and MPE markets, which are closely linked to Banco do Brasil's main vocations. We have more opportunities here to expand relationships and business with the Agro production chain, especially with input distributors farms associated with Andav".
