BB reports disbursement of more than R$115 billion to agribusiness

Banco do Brasil reports that it released more than R$115 billion to agribusiness and family farming in Brazil between the month of January and August 25th. The volume represents an increase of 12% over the same period last year, when R$102,5 billion were released.

In the current 2023/2024 harvest, around R$40 billion have already been disbursed, according to a statement from the bank, which represents 6% growth over the same period of July and August of the last harvest. In July and August, more than 122 thousand operations were contracted.

The highlight is the financing contracted with family farmers (Pronaf) and medium producers (Pronamp), which represent 70% of total operations, in more than 4 thousand municipalities in all regions of the country.

BB's agribusiness director, Jayme Pinto Júnior, highlights BB's agility and capillarity as differentiators that add to the tradition of Banco do Brasil's work with Brazilian family farming and agribusiness.
