BB has the best month in history in credit disbursement to rural producers

Banco do Brasil reaffirms its historic partnership with rural producers with a record disbursement of R$26,4 billion during the month of August. This is the largest disbursement compared to any month in the entire history of the institution's rural credit, surpassing the month of August 7 by 2022%, for example.

In the 2023/2024 Harvest, which began on July 1st, Banco do Brasil has so far totaled R$47,4 billion in disbursements to agribusiness, a growth of 9% compared to the same period in the previous harvest. There are more than 142 thousand operations contracted in the period, with emphasis on small and medium-sized farmers, who together represent 70% of operations.

The president of Banco do Brasil, Tarciana Medeiros, reaffirms BB's commitment to Brazilian agribusiness. “It’s another record in BB’s agriculture. The executive says she wants to reach a balance of R$200 billion in credit operations in sustainable agriculture, a portfolio that has already reached R$141,4 billion.
